It is considered a good time to trek in October. From August to October you will see many enthusiastic trekkers joining the Kheerganga expedition. April and May are good months. On average, the temperature will be between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius

The trek starts in Barshaini after Kasol. You will need to go through Bhuntar to get to Kasol.
How to get to Bhuntar: There are two main parts to the journey to Bhuntar. The first is how to get there. Bhuntar is served by an airport. However, it takes 14 hours to travel by bus or car from Delhi to reach the destination.
Bhuntar-Barshaini: The second phase takes you from Bhuntar into Barshaini. To get to Barshaini, you can take a bumpy bus ride (or a taxi). Kasol is a great place to stop along the way to Barshaini. Kasol, which is the starting point of many treks, is another treasure along the route.
You can make the Kheerganga trek from Barshaini in one of two ways: through Tosh or Nakthan Village, or through Kalga Village.

This route is favored by photographers because of its breathtaking views of the mountains. This route is the most well-known to Kheerganga and follows the Parvati River’s left banks.
This trek is moderately strenuous with difficult sections. This route will take approximately three to four hours.
2. Pulga Village, Kalga

The second route to Kheerganga takes longer descents and is easier to climb. This route, which is less well-traveled, is surrounded by dense forests. It doesn’t offer as many picturesque views as the 7-kilometre trek to Kheerganga. People with lower stamina prefer this route.
You can also stop at the villages of Kalga or Pulga to take a picture. These villages are great for making friends with locals and taking a walk. If you maintain a steady pace, this route can be completed within 4 hours. If you prefer a slower pace, it can be completed in between 5 and 6 hours.

Day 1 of Kheerganga Trek Bunnter to Barshaini
Travel to Bhunter and spend the night in Barshaini.
Day 2: Barshaini Tosh (distance 12km, time 6-7hrs)
Take the Tosh Road from Barshiani. This is the village where the forest trek starts. On your trek, you will pass Nakthan Village as well as the Rudranag temple. Stay in the accommodation you prefer for the night when you reach Kheerganga.
Third Day: Return to Bhuntar
12 km in length, 6-7 hours in duration
You can catch the perfect sunrise from your bed at dawn.
Take a hot shower and prepare for breakfast by heading to the spring. After breakfast, begin the trek back towards Barshaini. Take the evening bus to Bhuntar from Barshiani as soon as possible.
