It’s too complicated! Keep calm. I was also a new blogger to the blogosphere. The same problems plagued me. I started my blog in 2006, and I knew little about blogging. It was only a week before I learned about blogging.
Now, I know a lot about these topics, and my blog is performing pretty well where the most Ratchet Asian girls & bottled and jarred packaged goods topics are one of them. These topics are very interesting to me and my blog is doing well. My blog has over 300,000 unique monthly visitors. I consider myself an expert in building an online blog. Although I am not a “guru”, I do have the basics.
It will be simple to understand, easy to comprehend and, most importantly, understandable (no unnecessary terminology). Sound good? It sounds great, let’s move on.

Phew. It’s better to be late than never. Let’s get started on the first step without further delay.
Step 1: Select the blogging platform.
It is your preference that you choose where to begin your blogs. I am going to take a leap of faith and assume that you have some knowledge of WordPress. That’s the one that I recommend. It’s massive. It is easily the most popular blogging platform in the world.
There are many plugins and addons available. You can also design your blog in a variety of ways. WordPress has more than 82 million active users, which is quite a large number.
There are other options available, but they are listed below.
Blogger It’s next to WordPress.
Tumblr is half blog, half social networking. It’s very easy to use and interesting.
WordPress is far more powerful than the other options. Here are my reasons why WordPress is my choice:
1. It’s easy to set up and free. There are many themes and layouts available.
2. If you are stuck, there is a large help forum.
3. It will load very quickly and it will look amazing in form and functionality. It’s perfect!
4. You can have a quick conversation with people.
5. You can also distribute, comment, and so forth the content that you have published.

Step 2 Self hosting or another option?
What’s the deal? Slow down! This is the most crucial decision you will make before moving on. You decide whether to purchase your blog or obtain an unpaid copy.
Blogger, Tumblr and WordPress all offer blogs for free. Awesome, right? It’s great for people who don’t really care about blogging. It does have its downsides.
Some drawbacks may apply:
- The domain name you desire will not be available.
OWN Domain name for a blog. Your blog’s URL (your URL) on the internet will look messy. It’s not pretty. It is not easy to set up a blog using one of these free hosting services.
This is how your blog will look like:
yourblog.wordpress.com
yourblog.blogspot.com
yourblog.tumblr.com
You don’t know what you are doing, but it is ugly.
- Limits and other limitations
Free blogs have some limitations. The blog cannot be fully made money. You won’t be able to upload all the videos and images that you want to share with the world. Worse, you won’t be able use the WordPress themes for free.
- Your blog is not yours
This may seem absurd at first. You don’t own the right to your blog. It is hosted on a website other than yours, which they can delete at any time. They have done it before and they will do it again soon. It means that your blog efforts, including the endless hours spent writing articles, could be lost in a matter seconds.
Sad… But, if you have a self-hosted blog, your blog is yours. You’ll be able to name your blog whatever you want, for example, “YourName.com” or “YourAwesomeBlog.com. You can use a suffix such as.com, co.UK or.org. This combination is impressive because you can add unlimited bandwidth to images, videos, and other content, as well as free themes.
How much does hosting and domain name registration cost? Hosting and domain names are not as costly as you might think. Fortunately. It usually costs between $5 and $10 per month depending on the hosting provider. This is less than two cups of coffee. You may still be unsure if you should choose a hosted or non-hosted blogging platform.
Step 3 – Create a blog on the domain you choose (if you choose to self-host as well as a domain).
I assume that you have chosen WordPress. If not, you should. It is the most efficient. I will explain how to create a self-hosted blog if you are unsure.
Choose the domain name that you would like and choose the hosting company that will manage your website.
Domain DNS refers to the address of your website. Example: Google.com (Google.com) Facebook.com (Facebook.com) Domain. See? Simple!
Hosting: This is where you can set up your website online so that everyone else can see it. The server will store all your information. It can be thought of as a hard drive on your computer online that will hold your blog posts.
